WHAT CITIZEN SCIENCE IS
Citizen Science is when citizens study the world around them. Most citizen scientist are are not professionals, they just want to hang out with nature and learn about it too. The best part of being a Citizen Scientist is that you don't really need any fancy tools, you just need to think of a question you have about nature and then get outside and answers it. Citizen Science Around The World https://www.scientificamerican.com/citizen-science/wisconsin-wildlife-watch/ The Wisconsin Wildlife Watch is a citizen science project that researches many wild animals. Some of the animals they research are deer, elk, bares and hares. The goal of this citizen science project is to map out where animals will be and to predict future movement of the animals. Zooniverse: Planet 4 is a citizen science project that helps discover places on martian surfaces. This Zooniverse is finding many different craters. After they find enough craters they will be able to figure out how old the some of the surfaces are on the planet. This citizen science project researches many sharks and sunfish in New England. These people are hoping to learn about where these animals live and how they move around. They are asking anybody who sees a shark or sunfish to tell them so they can track them.
